I have heard several people of an older generation say that drinking coffee on a hot day will actually cool a person down. Today was humid and in the lower 90's so I decided to grab a cup of coffee before an afternoon meeting. Walking across the parking lot in a shirt and tie, sipping on my coffee, I discovered those old folks were probably just using the "cooling off" myth to cover up a caffenine addiction that was stronger than the summer heat. However, the meeting room was cool and the coffee was a tasty organic peruvian so I've got no complaints.
